Was at the 90th SAAF Birthday - took my son out of school on Friday and we sat at the Air Force Memorial overlooking Swartkops Airforce Base. After pretty awesome fly-past around 10h15 we moved east and parked next to the road and watched the different displays overlooking the grass runway. Two Grippens and Hawk in mock-combat was pretty great, but what took the show for me was the low level fly-past and mass para-drop by two Herc C-130's and the TurboDak. Chopper boys were pretty great too!
As an ex- SAAF all I can say is PER ASPERA AD ASTRA - To the next 90 years may our SAAF grow from Strength to Strength!!
