LEXAN MARGUARD for Windscreens

Postby FO Gyro » Wed Jan 26, 2011 10:43 am

I'm trying to get some Lexan Marguard which is the best material possible for windscreens. It's so good they are fitting it to the Metrorail front windscreens of the trains. Unfortunately Crystalite, where I bought my last piece in Germiston went into liquidation.

Lexan Marguard is available through Maizey Plastics, but they only sell it in 2 x 3 m sections, and the price is R4 950-00 plus VAT

Does anyone know where one could source smaller pieces (I need a 1 100 x 900mm for my gyro windscreen). Otherwise, if a few guys could get together a buy a 2 x 3m piece, and then split the costs. It comes i 3mm which is just fine for the job.
