Breakfast Run to Microland - 20 Feb 2011

Postby Blue Eagle » Tue Jan 18, 2011 3:25 pm

Hi Everyone;

Yip - I'm back.... I've had many requests to do another breakfast so here is what's going to happen....
SUNDAY - 20 February 2011 - breakfast from 08:30 and only R45 pp - fly in, ride in, drive if you have to - but be there... I've invited alot of my friends whom are bikers and they were looking for something new and exciting, so I decided - flying and flips in a microlight for a biker is definitely exciting..... breakfast, bottomless coffee, flips and goood company - what do ya say? You'll be there..... YAY.... well I look forward to seeing you.... vhpy

NO wheelies, spins and no bikes on the airfield or run-ways.....

Safety First....
I look forward to seeing you all there.....
cheers for now....
Linda

Looking forward flying to Microland again but our fly-days are on Saturdays. (-) Let me us know when there is one for a Saturday so us Ingwe guys can also fly in. (^^)

Hi there;

Yes I know pilots love to fly on Saturdays and our breakfasts are on Saturdays, but how about something different.... I'm just trying it this once.... bikers do Sunday breakfast runs... and us pilots LOVE flying any and every day - right? Saturday's have become difficult for me, my team all run off to college and studies etc ($$) ($$) - so - why not try it.... it may be a new fantastic fun thing combining bikers and micro-pilots say once every 6 weeks on a Sunday.... whadoyasay? :wink:

Sorry - but Sundays definately a "no go" for me....The Microland breakfast on a Saturday every month will be the best. What do the pilots think!!!!!????- Saturday or Sunday????

We will be returning from Sibaka that specific Sunday but generally Sunday is not a flying day for me. My vote goes for Saturday breakfast.

A lot of pilots , like me, are bikers too but as far as combining the two goes, lets just say that I would not have tried it

Go for it Linda, many pilots fly on Sundays as well and I am sure that they would enjoy a brekkie on a Sunday as well.

From my experience in KZN there are far more more people flying on a Sunday morning than a Saturday.

thanks Andy.... I am trying this once and if it goes well, then I'll try again. As mentioned - Saturday's is MY "hire and fly" day too and plus my breakfast team have all got things to do... hence the decision to combine the two... nothing ventured, nothing gained.... I just hoped some of you would pop in.

I tell you what - I'll take lots of photo's and let you know how it goes off and from there we'll make a decision as to whether we'll do it again...

My life - I fly on Saturday's, I ride pillion with someone/anyone on Sunday's.... I love it...

thanks again boys..... xxx

I think the combination of bikes and trikes would be nice. My brother rides motorcycles so it would be nice to meet up with them but unfortuanetly Sundays are out for flying other than late afternoons. Enjoy the breakfast and please post pics . At least we can enjoy the photos and not miss out all together

Hmmmm - so you think R45 for a breakfast with a bottomless coffee is cheap....?!

When I did a Saturday breakfast late last year - some of the guys complained that it was too expensive, and wanted me to drop to R30...?!? :(

anyway - have a wonderful week-end? Chat next week....

LINDA, WE MANNE FROM STAAL also prefer the Saturday, but R45 is the going rate. No problem!

Hi everyone;

Well - this Sunday is coming up quickly. I need some help please guys... I've got about 40 confirmed bikers riding in and they are very excited about going for a flip - 10 mins maybe 15 mins - up to you. They could pay a small donation towards fuel.... who of you can help please...? :?

I did have 4 pilots but it seems that they have other arrangements now... I only have one confirmed pilot - .... not enough to handle a good few flips.... :(

I hope to see you there.... going to cater for 60 breakfasts... first come, first served.... xxx
thanks...
