Microlights (Trikes) in Mauritius

Postby MILO » Wed Dec 15, 2010 3:20 pm

I am being cursed having to spend 10 days in Mauritius late January.
The problem is I have to sit on the beach - ignoring all the talent, ( -xX Sweetnessosuarus Rex will be present.)
Does anyone know if they do trike stuff there? Seems like a good thing to do and must be quite spectacular.
If you can fly today - leave everything else for tomorrow

Forget it.
The Mauritian authorities are some of the most GA unfriendly on the planet.
Many have tried to get something going, all have failed.
Some frenchy got the furthest anf fought in the courts all the way until he found his pride and joy cut up into little pieces one day...

I'm afraid you'll just have to sit on the beach and suffer...

About 10 years ago there was a trike operating on floats and doing flips.
The trike was suffering from extreme rust and decided scuba diving and bird watching (unfeathered) was going to keep me occupied.
The guy told me the duty on any spares was 100%
