In-line fuel filter?

Morning

What inl-line fuel filter can I use for my 582 Rotax. What is the grain (filter quality)? Need to get this today at my local Midas or spares shop. Also what brand is recommended?

You need the Merc type filter and the part number if I remember correctly is BC69

BC69 is the GUD nr, just ask at Merc for the inline filter they use on the aero engines.

Midas only have a BC 68
Will that be a problem?

you need a 0.3mm mesh filter, no paper

The merc style filters are best, The have the right angle on the outlet

BC 68 is the correct number. Andy was just confusing himself between the filter and a fantacy.

PLEASE DONT use the glass type with the filter you can see . Its CRAP...... nearly had a engine out because of it. Filter element is to fine and it blocks up and starves the motor of fuel. I only now use the merc type .. they are very cheap and i buy them directly form mercedes benz. Only time ive ever craped in my pants in flight

Cant remember the part number but i think it was for a merc W126 series.

Hi,

Here's typical installation without premix. Found it on a student's trike just before going solo. The instructor could not blow through the filter and only engine cleaner seemed to unblock it. Why bother for R30.00?

I have been using a BIG paper filter from GUD for 100`s of trouble free hrs. Also did not disconnect my auto lube system of course.

The filter is available thru Midas or your Nissan dealer. Used on the 1800 Nissan 720 bakkies. Like I mentioned: nice and big= this filter must catch a lot of gunk before it start to clog up. I am testing one in my Venture, just to prove my point.It has been in my verhicle for more than 250.000km, and is still doing fine. But then that is only me. So do not listen to me, I might give you unsuitable advice.

This filter Boet uses also has the benefit of increased range for your aircraft, Due to it being big and carrying extra fuel.

What happened to you yesterday. I had the dops and tjops at the airfield but no braaimaster arrived???
