Fides used to play in Postmasburg (he used to ride through from Kimberley - jam the night away - and then back all the way!) many years ago and entertained thousands of people! The man has talent but seems he remains humble :-)

Chatting to some of the members at Morningstar on Saturday, it seems they were of the opinion that this is a Gyro fly-in and did not include them. Somewhere along the line we have failed to communicate adequatly it seems. They were talking of arranging a year-end braai... This is where it all started (WCMC Year-end) and includes EVERYONE that has an interest in aviation. The Gyro's are showing mass support! Encourage your mates/colleagues/flybuddies to come to the party, its promises to be a good one.

The idea is to have a very informal (Spit braai Or something , good food , good drink and lots of aviation chat ) get together , with guys flying different machines rubbing shoulders , I think by getting to know each other in an informal way , will go a long way in our airmanship and understanding towards each other
SO with that in mind all aviators , flying non flying , are welcome to join us on the 20 November at FASH for a social get together .I espesially hope to see the guys from , Morninstar , Grootfontein , Altona , Wintervogel , FAFK , Diemerskraal , FACT , yes everybody welcome .

I asked....
So how is this going to fit in with the GYRO FLY-IN arranged by Johan S?
Len replied....
Joohn .. Its the same weekend and its scheduled at Stellenbosch - so its a Combo-jorl! Looking forward to it.

So... am I being dof here or what? We are travelling down from Mossel Bay for this - I don't fly a gyro - I don't fly a trike - now and then I fly BLIK & PORTALOO and when she's airworthy - a Cheetah.... I think it's a fun filled aviation occasion which we will not miss! Besides, Morph & I are representative of the MISASA committee (^^)

HI John

What you have highligted is true , but i can see that in the confusion of arranging the "NORTH meet SOUTH , GYro jamboree " , that guys could get confused and for that n apologise .

I wanted to create a Party / Platform for everybody to enjoy the evening , This has been a taught year on many , and i wanted to enjoy the evening with likeminded people .

So again i apologise if the Aviators evening was not given the time i should have , but please i will still till tomorrow allow for more people (The chef is going to kill me ) . Please ladies and gents , this is a AVIATORS and LIkeminded evening , please enjoy it with friends and lets forget about any past issues .

Maybe Morph or someone at WCMC should send a reminder to everyone on their member mailing list. Barry may do the same on the Wintervogelers. Grumpy has the Cape Trikers list as well. Has the airschool at Fisantekraal been informed? Still, it did say ALL "AVIATORS" all along. :? vhpy
