Postby Zigzag » Tue Sep 14, 2010 7:58 am

Hello manne
Names, Kev and I have just started my MPL at Rhino Park with a very lekker instructor by the name of Ian.
Always have been and still am a quad racer, but it's time to try something new and loving it. Been on this forum for quite a while now and enjoying it very much. You guys seem like a hell of a nice bunch of okes.
Just wanted to introduce myself, you will hear from me again soon.
Cheers Kev

Hey Jaco
Apologies for Sunday, little upset we couldn't fly due to the mist. :(
Tell you what, lets just first work on getting you up in the Aquilla then I will start to teach you about the Quads. One thing at a time.
What happened with your unexpected SOLO? Was it a bit hairy?

Cheers for now

You give up to quickly my friend, you will still realize that Rhino has a lot off mist a lot off the time you just have to wait it out.

Didn't know I was going SOLO so it WAS unexpected but did it. Let me say it this way, I got down safely and my BB is reusable so it was a good landing.

Well I guess congrat's is in order. Rhino must probably be one of the best places to learn to start flying, it prepares you for alot of eventualities weather wise. Alex said it might not be a good idea to fly anyway will be back on Saterday to go for it again. vhpy . I think when I get my Mpl, I will look at doing a convesion onto CCM (Conventional Controlled Microlight) as well.
I quite like the thunderbirds.

Have a good one and stay safe

To all of you guys busy with training.... enjoy it, stay focussed and be safe!

Zigzag... you may find that most of us have or still do ride motorbikes / quads .... it is the nature of the adventure beast!

Certainly a man or men after my own heart. vhpy
Thanks John, I think we will fly safe, I certainly have a huge amount of respect for these flying machines as I'm sure all the other newbies do as well. (I hope) You just have to take a look through the "Accident/Incident reporting" link to remind your brain about the realities of flying.

Have a good one

If ever (rather sooner than later) try and attend a S&R presentation or even better.... round up a couple of guys and I'll get the relevant people to come and present it! vhpy

You may even be honoured to have some of the MISASA committee present!

Hey Zig zag,

You can put me on the list for that S+R presentation. I only have about 12 hours to go unitill I get my lisence so it sounds like a good thing to go to at this stage. I will try find a few more guys and then we can get back to John Boucher about it.
