Doesn't this have a lekka feel about it?
Len you look so happy and proud in your M24 ! It is a lovely machine as well and you will enjoy her.I see "the comon Klopper" will fit neatly into the pax seat beside you. But you mustn't forget to take the "grend" Klopper up for a flip as well when you come to fetch your baby. I hear it's all done and the 24s will be taking to the skies as we speak.Have great fun in yours. Magtag man , ou Vittorio bou darem nie van gister af die woer woer masjiene nie !
Hy ken van n gyro !
Ebie ! I owe you a kuier. I am going to miss Vredendal but will take a leisurely trip down to your geweste as soon as my new one is up and running. We want to form a gaggle down to Namaqualand.
Grumpie ek hoor jou brom! Ag ja swaar. Vat die vlieg weg, dan bly daar nogal wat oor vir n man?

"PHOTOS OF THE DAY
Guys are bleeding the air out of the brakes circuit, and they also installed your luggage.
They have also fueled it, as they plan to start the machine tomorrow .
As you see things are moving good !
Take care.

Flynote, you lucky bugger. Wish I could join you on the Poland trip, was one of my best experiences. As an appetizer, just a few photos of their newly acquired airfield that we used on our trip, where you should do most of your flying from when over there. Just a pity their new factory, offices and hotel, next to the airfield, won't be finished by then yet.

Hei Marius , yes I cannot wait to fly in Poland again. Maybe the factories private airfield will be less intimidating than Modling Airfield in which you really need to understand Polish and they need to understand Afrikaans in the circuit !
Latest from the factory . My new Xenon has taken to the air
The yellow one is Danie Oosthuizen from Bethlehem's new baby. No more freezing Eastern Freestate mornings in an open gyro for him !
"Good morning Johan,
In fact, it was Friday, we went to fly the yellow machine, and also your machine !
Both have the latest improvements such as the long tail and integrated Teleflex. It is much smother, and the stability was like never experienced before. I was able to make the entire flight (30 min) with 60 degree banking, reversing them, low and max speed, autorotation and its recovery : without touching a single to the pedals… You are going to love it. I think now this is a new achievement for the gyros, but I would even say that it is almost too easy to fly now… There is no more coordination to do, no more to worry about the pedals. For sure a coming delight to fly for your long trips with your extra fuel tank.
About performance, superb ! Two on board, 35 liters, 27 degre, 1009 mb, cruising 4600 for 120 km/h, topping at 160, real good for a large rotor at this low altitude. The rotor, now made entirely by us is a silk knife cutting smoothly the air . A pleasure.
Please enjoy the photos.
Have a great day,
Raphael.

Re: Xenon Gyro
Now the excitement is really beginning to kick in, big time.
Check out the split cowling for easy removal if you need to get to the engine for Mpi.
Production on my Xenon began on 11 June. Completion was scheduled for 10 August.
8 Weeks allowed but nearing completion within 6 weeks. Good going ! And that was 4 Xenons simultaniously.
I am a happy chappy. The yellow Xenon is also nearing final completion and is rearing to take to the skies above Bethlehem in the Free State !

Re: Xenon Gyro
Hi guys - I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post. Let me introduce myself. I'm a fixed wing ppl with about 350 hours, based at Wonderboom. I fly for fun not for business, and have recently started to reconsider the whole mission of having a fixed wing aircraft (in my case a Rockwell Commander 114 - 4 seat single engine Lycoming IO540). When I analyse the costs vs my usage, its not making sense anymore. Hence my interest in a gyroplane, and the Xenon in particular.
My passion (other than flying) is astronomy, and I'm looking at the Xenon as a possible vehicle to get me, the telescope and the girlfriend to bush lodges north of Pretoria over weekends - beautiful flying in the day and pretty skies at night! The crucial question is the amount of baggage space behind the seats - I need enough for toothbrushes and the telescope. Can anyone give me an indication of the space available? I wasn't able to get any info from the Xenon site. The obvious place is the seat next to me, but I'd rather not have to choose between the girlfriend and the telescope.
I love my tel... (klap
) girlfriend.

grahame
Not sure about the size of your telescope, but my wife's telescope will definately fit behind the seat, plus enough space for luggage. You are welcome to come and visit me at Kitty Hawk one day and come see for yourself.
PM me your contact details and I can arrange to meet you there whenever I go again.

Mak, very generous of you. I'd love to see your Xenon. The more I read about them, the more interesting they get! PM on the way. Cheers
Re: Xenon Gyro
Herewith just a quick reminder to Johan and Danie, before their Poland trip, on how to land their Xenons, as demonstrated by Wiatrakowiec. He was our instructor while flying in Poland.

Re: Xenon Gyro
Xenon rocks!
My thanks to MAK for the intro flight on Saturday. At 8am Kitty Hawk was already alive with activity, Marius was in his squeaky-clean hangar with his 2 ships, and I was goggle-eyed with wonder - never been this close to a gyro before! From the careful pre-flight right through to putting her back in the hangar after our flip, Marius generously and expertly shared with me some of his knowledge, his love for gyro-flying and even the controls as we wandered around the dam and back. 1.66 on the Hobbs never seemed so short!
What were some of the differences from my fixed wing? The quick blat of the little Rotax as it started so easily, the runup of the rotor, taking off in such a short distance, getting my head around the idea that the wing is above my head and rotating at 600mph, the startling ease with which Marius banked and turned and then - the landing. I am used to the same manoeuvres: downwind into Kitty Hawk, turn for base, turn on to final, approach angle, flare and then ... STOP
No landing roll that I'm used to, to bleed off the speed and energy of a 1 ton blik!
Marius just made it seem so easy and simple that I suspect there must be a trick! I'm going to start some training flights from FAKT to discover what gyro flying is all about. Many thanks once more to an absolute gentleman!
