If your radiator is the highest point in the system the low point drain is a small 6mm bolt on the bottom of the water pump. This will drain all the coolant out of the engine. You can then refill with flushing water and drain again a couple of times. Distilled water would be best though tap water would be OK for flushing or a mix.

As its higher than the motor, should it not auto bleed, ( bleed itself ? ).

Morph should have an answer to this one.

There is a bolt on top of your engine, that you can loosen with a allen key. Fill up the water untill the water start coming out of this hole, and then tighten it again and fill up to the top of the radiator. After that you should idle your machine to temp, and then check the level again. That should do it. If you are not sure, ask your ap. He should know.

The radiator if installed correctly then it should self bleed. If you remove the tube at 14, this is the top of the motor, fill the engine up until the coolant exits at the top, reconnect, fill the rest. Then as usual, start, run for a while (not until it is hot, because the water system is under pressure and you could burn yourself with steam if you just open i)t. Switch off and check again

Also try make sure that the engine is standing with the heads level when you do this.

vhpy Thank you for your help. I managed to get to the airfield eventually. I dained and flushed the cooling system. Mixed the coolant 50/50 and filled it to the top. Ran it till warm, gave time to cool. Topped it up, ran it again. Then we went for a 30 min flight temp at 70° vhpy When i went for my next flight a week later i checked and needed to top up with 200 ml. I will check it again next time. For now i am extremly happy vhpy and grateful for your help.
