I will be meeting again this week, with the powers that be, to include all micro/LSA aircraft. The problem arose with the ATC's concern over the varying approach speeds of the trikes and the fixed wing a/c especially with the large no's that are expected. Safety is a primary concern and we don't need any incidents occurring at a state/military base, but, as someone rightly stated, the approach speeds of most tri-axis a/c is close to the trikes so it might not be the problem that was at first was the concern.I will know by Wednesday and will post again

This sounds good!

You can tell them we have no problem with the different speeds at our flying fields, we are used to it and space ourselves accordingly.

Thanks for you hard work,
Fly safe,
Rudi
PS. If fixed wings are ok please add Savannah ZU-EJS to the list, we can fly the same speed as a trike anyway if needed vhpy

Hi All,

Just to confirm that this fly in is definitely on? I am planning around it and my trike is already in JHB, so I am hopping we are thumbs up for the 2nd of October.

My trike is with Larry at Freedom Flight school in Bapsfontein, he is doing the ATF on it for me. I would really like to hook up with some guys from Petit or Microland, that I fly in with them.

Fly Safe... vhpy vhpy

Gentlemen
I have just been to Zwartkop and I have been requested to supply the list of all the names and reg no's of all the fly-in pilots. Could you guys please!..contact all your friends whom you know will be flying to Zwartkop on 2nd October to pm me with the info. The info is required to obtain the necessary authorization to host the event.

(^^) Gentlemen!.. this is going to be the event of the year insofar as the microlight fraternity is concerned. (^^)

N.B.!!!..I have further obtained confirmation for the fixed wing pilots to join us on the day. So!...get those tri-ax aeries dusted and join the little friends on our jaunt to Zwartkop AFB

Beverly ,who owns the restaurant at the base will be serving breakfast to those that wish to have a munchie. I have requested her to stock up and be ready for the invasion.

I will confirm the numbers as soon as I have done the correlation. Please!..Please! get the info to me ASAP to avoid being left out
