Hi jxc

This panel works for me, - you must carefully consider the colour of panel, as I believe the reflection of instruments onto plexiglas can be irritating. Black I think is the best as I really only noticed the reflection when was asked if this bothered me.
How about some photo’s of your machine as it is now (^^) – then u can send some after being redone (^^) . I have seen an arrange shadow (photo somewhere on the net – UK if I’m not mistaken) very nice!

George - if u on forum how's the flying going? - and how was your Battlefields trip? . Plenty flying for me lately puff puff puff, i still cant get enough of this shadow!!!

Well went for my 1st flight today with guy I bought it off went of for a little jolly did 1 landing with him then went of on my own back to own base left him to drive my car so I could give him a lift back to his muppet kurbed my wheels whilst driving and blew out a new tyre :(

What can I say landing for the 1st is very unnerving as when that nose drops down you think your feet will plough into the ground

Well

done a few flights now including moving shadow to a new home at an airfield called Nayland you have to land uphill !! more like a mountain

What I have noticed yesterday is I was doing steep turns to right and when tried to level off it appears to control stick does not move as far left as it does right so takes longer to level of is that the same on all shadows poss due to prop wash ?

Hi jxc ? my name is George and am also from SA, thought this thread was forgotten about. I have just found one of your UK forums, there is a Shadow specific thread there. Been chatting with a couple of guys over there. I remember having the same turning problem as you and after trying to adjust the ailerons for hours, i discovered that there is a strap that stops the ailerons pulling up to far, and the one had either been put back wrong or it had shrunk, preventing the aileron to lift to its max travel. Check it out.
Hi Mark, myself and Jas have been doing a lot of flyiny, just the soccer interupting the flying with these FAC's. Done the battlefilds thing and even landed at the Estcourt Ultra Shitty! What a place to take of from, 2up and on AUW, downhill downwind, Scary stuff, just made it out. We still wanna do a fly in with you guy's sometime. Let us know. I cant get enough of flying i'm on about 160hrs now. Just bought an old windlass and gonna give this "Trike Thing" a go. Waiting for paper work as usual!!!!!!!!
Fly Safe.

Also new to the Streak Shadow. Just got my licence but I had a mishap this morning where the prop tip came off in flight that gave quite a scare. I now need another prop. Any help to be offered in terms of choice of prop and the cost. Does anyone have a prop that they may want to get rid of?

Hi Andrew – Warp Drive prop works well- also very hard so small stones don’t cause any damage -the three blades must be cut shorter. What engine ? Where u based, a few of us flying these machines JHB area so maybe we can arrange a shadow get together

Hi Streakers,

I imported a streak from Ireland last year, a beauty. done 50 hours looks like new. Unfortunately the prop is not so new and I need to replace it. Anybody got a spare prop and can recommend the best prop.

What is your cruise speed and rpm with the 582?

Thanks ANdrew
