Fuel Hose Clamps

Postby Rotor-Blade » Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:51 pm

Can Anyone assist in pointing me in the direction to a company that sells high qaulity hose clamps, needing to replace fuel and water hoses on a ROTAX 914, but most ofthe clamps look really cheap and the normal spares outlets. I reside in JHB
Thanking you in advance for any feedback

I use the ones that Wurth sells - should get them at hardware shops - or try mechanical workshops. They are expensive but "kookwater"

Hey Grumps
You can get quality hose clamps from Wurth in Montague Gardens in Cape Town.
The edges are slight turned up so that they do not cut into the pipe and the quality is superior compared to the local crap.
That's what I use on my plane and on my machines etc at work.

Some other clamps that work very well are those used on Gas fitting available at any gas outlet. Not so bulky - more permanent.
If it can withstand gas pressures - no problem for fuel !
