EL MEXICANO SHOT AFTER LANDING

Postby EL MEXICANO » Mon May 17, 2010 8:51 pm

LAST SATURDAY 8 OF MAY 2010 AT 8:30 AM, AFTER TAKING A FRENCH TOURIST FOR A LOCAL FLIGHT ,SOMEBODY SHOT AT MY MICROLIGHT WITH A HIGH CALIBER RIFLE( 243 OR SIMILAR) ,WHEN I WAS TAXIING IN A RUNWAY NEAR CULLINAN JUST AFTER LANDING.
LUCKILY NEITHER THE GIRL NOR I GOT HURT .
THE DAMAGE WAS : 3 RIBS OF THE WING ,THE CANVAS OF THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE WING , AND THE PROPELLER,(QUITE EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR) ,BUT AT LEAST NOBODY GOT HURT.
UNFORTUNETLY I DIDN'T SEE THE PERSON THAT SHOT AT ME BECAUSE IT WAS FROM A LONG DISTANCE. THE POLICE ARE ALREADY INVESTIGATING.
IF ANYBODY HAS GOT CONTACTS WITH THE POLICE , PLEASE LET ME KNOW ,SO THEY CAN SPEED UP THE INVESTIGATION TO FIND THE SUBJECT/S RESPONSIBLE ,
SO THAT THIS DOES NOT OCCUR AGAIN.
THIS WAS NOT FUNNY ,IT WAS ATTEMPTED MURDER.... ##

Have you spoken to Anton and Jean from JAG? - They know cullinan and its peoplevery well

There used to be a prick in Cullinan area that always gave everyone grief over his hand held radio if you flew near cullinan, some "gevangenis warden" of sorts - He once shouted at Dieselfan and me too when we flew near Cullinan - Guy souded pretty crazy and I remember thinking to myself what if he starts shooting at me  -Not saying it is the same oke at all, just a weird co-incedence

I hope this guy gets caught, who-ever he is

HI BIG D:DID THIS HAPPEN TO YOU NEAR JAG AIR OR WHICH AREA?
This was in 2006 - Was South west of Jag if I remember correctly, Dieselfan can confirm - Many guys were complaining at the time, and the guy definately worked for the correctional services and had a thing against microlights and got his hands on a hand held radio and was rude to numerous okes flying near his place

An AK47 is also a high caliber weapon-just like a 243!
I hope they catch him.

Yip, but very few AK47 drivers fire 1 shot. That was point I was trying to make. Single round would be planned shot. Spray gun (semi automatic) would possibly not be...

Flush the bastard out. Someone must hear the neighbour's shooting.

Get all local flyers to assist and spread a flyer to the policing forum, quad/ bicycle/ marathon/ shooting/churches/ pigion racing clubs. Put up flyers at the pubs, Spars, post office boxes to let them know everyone is a target.

Visit the direct neighbours inquiring about a trigger happy phsyco and warn if there's no response the police are going to do a thorough search on every house's gun safe and find the now illegal hunting rifle 'erfstukke'.

fu@#^'m, probably some ' nobody will tell me what to do on my farm' arse.

Trikenut has turned 15 now. Think he has moved on from wanting to see the pod, he now wants to see and know more about the rear of the trike - like the engine bay :-)
