Thanks!

I normally shoot aircraft with a Canon 1Dmkiv or 1DSmk3 with a decent L lens (100-400/400/600 f4) but did not have those with me this time......

These photos were taken with my old, keep in the car/plane Nikon D200 with 18-200 VR lens, my "mik and druk" vhpy

Snake team in action at the Middelburg airshow, the conditions were not easy with a very strong wind but Jay and the guys performed well!

It was one of the best organized, and attended airshows I have visited for a long time, well done Middelburg guys and girls!

Fly safe,

Great photos Beefmaster! Thanks for sharing.

What a great day, yes, got a but unpleasant weather wise later but still fun. My departure was "interesting" to say they least as ATC asked us to use the dirt runway taking off towards the north of the main runway. I had a gyro in front of me abort and taxi back, I then took off only to hear minutes later the gyro (ZU-RWW- Glen) crashed on his second attempt! I can understand why with the hectic cross/tailwind....

A few more photos of the great day.

Hey Rudi, nice pics again! I assume you adjusted your temperature down to get the skies blue again?? What do you think made my photos so soft?? This is the first time I post on the web other than some mik and druks from long ago onto facebook. I shoot with a canon eos 450D with stock 70-300 lens, no ISM I'm afraid... The pics were nice and sharp until I posted them (**) What you shoot with?? I've been looking around for a new lens of better quality, am considering the 50-500 or 120-400 sigma, priced well compared to Canon...
