Grumpy and John spent a few days over Easter at Witsand. Flew over the BIG mountains and touched down 2.5hrs later. Flew most days weather permitting. What a jol. The 'Voels' must get ready for a weekend away soon.

Mike, I know the farmer who owns the land right next to the village and main rd and it has a worthless 'pan' kind of thing, and is sometimes used as a driving range 300m, so he gives me permission to land there.

flew there when i went thru to swellendam fly in and could not find airstrip

Nice pics Tobie. But where were the Wintervogel fliers this weekend :?: The weather was great on Saturday and only two microlights up. We had more visitors than fliers :!:

Newguy,

At least Dirk, Peter and Paxes were not too shaken by landing at Wintervogel, the runway is almost the best it has ever been so maybe we will see more Okes drop in, the coffee should make up for it. The middle still remains a bumpy landing so keeping just to the sides of it on the grass is still the best.

Wintervogelers has been quiet lately, hopefully wetting the appetite for winter flying.

We would still like to get all the Western Cape flyers to fly together more often and meet at some strip over coffee so drop Cape Trikers a mail if anyone plans anything.
