Nice one Alan.
Helga has landed,a text book landing i believe,at Helmeringhausen after dodging a large storm cloud all the way,and is camping under her wing, before moving on to Duwiseb, waiting for weather to clear. Then on to Solitare.
The "Stubborn Old Goat" is doing VERY well, considering she's all alone in the air, over mostly hostile terrain.
Still trying to get photos from her,and will post them as soon as.
till next update

Just returned from Solitaire, Helga has not yet arrived there, but they will be on the lookout for her. Moose was also informed that she will be there today or tomorrow.

Hak this number for Moose is wrong as Helga gets through to some Market that has never heard of Moose. Please check, or if anyone knows his contact details please advise,Helga is waiting out strong winds at present and would like to find out the weather that she will be flying into at Solitaire.
Right now she's drinking Tafel,to calm her nerves after 5 go arounds before landing at Duwiseb, heavy wind and heat waves.

Update in the words of Helga's Daughter.
"She took off beautifully from Duwiseb.she made an ass of herself on the Radio but quickly corrected herself.Mom flew over the mountain instead of the chicken way around.Proud of my Mom.Awesome senery and a great landing at Solitaire.
With 100 microlighters in GHOST form to meet her.Not a blooming hanger in sight.Tied plane down.and booked into lodge."and a bit more ($$) ($$) ($$)
Great stuff Helga.

Hi Guys,

I am meeting up with Helga as we(I) type at Solitaire. Helga and her crew is hurrying-up slowly - to say the least. The weather up here has been horrific for trike-flying at least - rain, heavy rain and subsequent heavy wind storms. Rather unusual for Namibia and the Namib for this time of the year I must say.
Helga's plan is to fly to Windhoek from here - over very high and windy mountains I can assure you - and from there possibly to Omaruru in the north west.

Hi everyone: We cannot seem to break the 3 to 4 day stay at a place. Our internal clocks still wake us up at 04h00. We check weather and drink tons of coffee.
Helga doing well. She paces herself well. If she is tired she does not move. We on the other hand are learning patience. BIG TIME!!!

Hey Graham Mac! Look you do not need to send anything we have connected with Hanno who is kindly helping us out today. Will need u though tomorrow. Ha Ha!

Helga diverted to Oanob near Rehbooth, slept under her wing and took off to challenge the mountain range of Windhoek.
Landed safely at Eros Airport through a very friendly and accomadating Air Traffic Controler, she is now in Windhoek after securing the aircraft at Eros, and is living it up with family there. The route forward from there is yet to be decided as Namibia is having unusual weather patterns for this time of year. Her way forward is a mystery to her and all of us.
Glad youre safe and in great spirits Helga.Have a Tafel beer for me.
Till later
