Thanks Lion, and all the others, for the good wishes and advice. Remember that feeling, a couple of days before Christmas, as a lightie when you KNEW you were getting this awesome train set. I want to go to bed early so it can happen sooner.
No Definately not only for Training! I plan to capitalise fully on the sociable side and a nice long trip to Namibia is in the pipeline. I have always liked enclosed (preferably with the option to pop the doors off if you wish) Same reason I drive a convertible I guess...you can let the outside in if you want but the conditions have to be right or it quickly becomes no fun. Not that often you can comfortably drive with the roof down in the Cape. Imagine if my wife had to sit behind me in the convertible? Much less sociable ... actually, come to think of it, she'll insist on driving or she wont go along. Easier to buy a side-by-side than to try to persuade her. or train her. Side by side she will go along willingly.
Good to know there is a Filser with the same neat functionality to the Odyssey. I have heard good things about the MGL radio. Wish they had an integrated transponder but I believe thats yet a way off. Going to go download the simulator immediately.
Yep, paid the balance end of January when they were ready to load, it had already improved a bit in my favour. Shipping costs still to come.
Johnny Bravo, I don't think we need much of a reason to celebrate but I can't think of a better one than this! Looking forward to it.
