I have an Icom A210 Radio in my Savannah. There is a constant buzzing which is really frustrating. The squelsh makes no difference. It is not engine noice, because on the ground with motor off it is still there. When flying, I am not sure if any engine noice is coming through, because of the constant buzzing.
Please, can someone help.
Vernon.

Re: Help with Radio
It sound like you are having interference from the proximity of the likes of a GPS or skydat.
Generally they do not have noise suppressors (choke) built in.

Re: Help with Radio
Vernon, are your headset jack plugs insulated from the airframe?
With some intercom systems it is recommended that they are not grounded as there may be some form of loop feedback

Thanks for that. It does make sense. I will take them off when I go up again, and give it a try.
