Trike with Bi Plane wings...
Pics of a trike with Bi - plane wings and it flys...also a Russian Trike with a Geo-Suzuki Motor...Have we in SA missed something here...lol...mmm...interesting to say the least.... Here are some specs I found on this Geo/Suzuki Motor....
In 1995, with the third generation Metro came the 1.3 L I4 with 70 hp (52 kW). The engine was the same engine that had been in use in the Suzuki Swift (except for the GT models) in prior years. LSi models produced from 1995 onward featured the 4-cylinder engine tuned to produce 79 hp, with the 3-cylinder still used on base models and becoming an option for non-LSi models in 1999....
Also a Hick Trike from America with a 100 hp Motor...

Hi Guys
There have been a number of postings about Suzuki Geo engines which have proved very reliable in Canada , but nobody here seems to take them seriously. The prices are right the gearboxes tried and tested but I realize the import duty might be a problem. Do take the trouble to check them out!

G13BB Low mileage* 16valves SONS Multi Point Injection converted and ready-to install (gearbox, light models of alternator and starter, flywheel, gas pump, ignition coils, reinforced Electronic Control Module, completely converted electric wiring with double redundancy of important lines and all necessary sensors, engine mount brackets (L-bar and 3 Barry-style silentblocks each side), 3 light aluminum hard anodized pulleys, light alternator installation set included) about 100HP
$6495
G13 GTI Twin cam Low mileage* (16valves DONS) Multi Point Injection converted and ready-to install (gearbox, light models of alternator and starter, flywheel, gas pump, stock aluminum Ford radiator, ignition coil, reinforced Electronic Control Module, completely converted electric wiring with double redundancy of important lines and all necessary sensors, engine mount brackets (L-bar and 3 Barry-style silentblocks each side), light aluminum hard anodized crank pulley, light alternator installation set included) more than 110HP
$6995
BMW R110S boxer. Low mileage air-oil cooled TBI engine with redundant Hall sensor ignition, ready-to install (included gearbox, L-bar and 3 Barry-style silentblocks each side, wiring harness and computer, alternator and starter) 99HP, about 170LB weight
$7595

What is import duty on an engine?
100hp for the price of a 582? Why is nobody looking into these engines locally. Do they have a bad rep and are there any operating in SA at moment?

Duty free. However you would need to apply for an import permit through ITAC for each shipment of engines that you want to bring in. You would also need to have a valid importer/exporter number.RV4ker wrote:G13BB Low mileage* 16valves SONS Multi Point Injection converted and ready-to install (gearbox, light models of alternator and starter, flywheel, gas pump, ignition coils, reinforced Electronic Control Module, completely converted electric wiring with double redundancy of important lines and all necessary sensors, engine mount brackets (L-bar and 3 Barry-style silentblocks each side), 3 light aluminum hard anodized pulleys, light alternator installation set included) about 100HP
