Re: ZU-DVE (and ZS-WUO) Flight Log

Postby gertcoetzee » Sun Oct 25, 2009 9:07 pm

I havn't put reminders on here to have a look at http://www.zu-dve.com for some time. Please have a look.

Today I did some windy flying in Aurora - strange winds but I love the Windlass in the wind, it's like a feather!. At first I had a tailwind to the little hill north of Aurora, where I got clapped as expected once I got over the edge - that together with the wind blowing parallel to the Piketberg sometimes makes for interesting flying. Then I got up to 5500 feet - but see the log:

Maybe a few small bumps to Gert but huge jackhammer wacks to me. Stunning flight though. Wargames, I have mailed you the photos Gert sent me.

14 December 2009.

So, the question is, should I stick to making log pictures of my flights or should I put more effort into become a aviation-rap-producer (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12186&sid=d44939a09 ... b3771d8115) ??

Please have a look at the for today, the panoramic shots almost does what it looked like justice - http://www.zu-dve.com)! It was only me, ZU-RON and some other bloke over Grabouw in the air, all keeping it to a minimum.

Your opinion please?

See the log for today (on http://www.zu-dve.com) - flying near Aurora I achieved a groundspeed of 8mph - soon I will reach my goal of flying backwards. Relativity rules OK.

Seems like I missed you by a few minutes. Also did the coastal thing for a while before doing some touch and goes and a smoke break at Altona. Had already landed at Morningstar by 07h15.

No, that time was Zulu, not local - I have a problem getting up before the sun rises. It is totally unnatural.
