Postby zoobie » Wed Dec 02, 2009 6:52 am

Greetings fellow aviators.

This message is posted post on behalf of Alan Pepper.

For the past few years, klipriver airfield was using the unofficial 135.5 frequency.

With the new special rules changes that recently came into effect, please be advised that with immediate effect, Klipriver airfield frequency will be 125.6.

Should you have any queries, please feel free to contact Alan Pepper on 083 250 4385.

Safe flying

So ..... is it, or isn't it?

The "unofficial" frequency is just that - Unofficial. I don't believe that anyone should be using 135.5
apart from Casper the friendly ghost, does anyone fly out of there anyway?

Hi Bob . you have obviously not been to klip in a long while. You should pop over for coffie and come and see for yourself. Who knows I might even find an empty hanger for you .

It's been about three months or so since I flew over there.
The runways have always been mowed, but I never seem to find anyone there.
What sparked the recent activity?

Hi Bob. We've had a couple new guys and a few old members return 'I think because its a quiet airfield. If you want to get away from the big noise it's always great to take a drive to klip and chill out.

Good to hear that the place has been revived. I'll pop across in the next few days and take a look.

Since we are practically neighbours, you are more than welcome to drop in at Panorama for breakfast every weekend.
Helga does a great breakfast on both Saturdays and Sunday mornings.

Best regards,
Byron
