Hello everybody

I had the privilege of buying this dvd. This is probably the best flying dvd ever. It’s centered around the “Van Nuys” airport in California. This is the largest general aviation airport in the world! A lot of pilots give their sentiments about what inspired them to start flying and what people miss that have never tried!! (^^)

After that dvd, in future if anybody again asks me why I fly, I’ll just hand them that dvd!!

If you ever get the chance to watch or purchase it, do it, it should actually be a mandatory part of every pilots flying gear!!

Hi "ou man",

Groete,
Rudi

I was under the impression that it is ONLY available in the USA and that your credit card and the address associated with your credit card must be located in the US. They will not ship outside of the US. Does this still apply?

How? Same way as greylingr?

I have spoken to some of my buddies in the US who have seen it and apparently it is AWESOME!

Duck,

the big challenge is whether your DVD player is zoned for US DVD's. This can be solved by searching for the unlock codes on the internet for your specific DVD player. Using your remote you can then unlock it and it will play DVD's from anywhere.

As far as the US shipping goods using your credit card and local address there is no problems. I have sometimes found that the States are much quicker then shipping from the UK

That's not exactly what I had in mind. I was trying to say that the distributors of the DVD are not shipping outside of the US or Canada at the moment.
Check this link from the AvCom forum for clarification.

The situation may have changed by now.

I agree with the DVD situation. Not only should your DVD be able to play NTSC formats but you should have a multizone TV as well.

Rudi Greyling brought in a couple of them. There is no zone problems, it seems to play fine on everybodies DVD players.

Rudi should be able to tell you how you should go about purchasing it and bringing it into the country!!

I tried to order it as well but couldn't because of my location (non-US) so I have arranged for a friend to buy it and send it to me- expecting it any day now...

On second thought - I also have friends in the US that will be willing to help.

We can arrange shipping to their address and onto ours from there - or do a bulk shipment and then just postnet it out to everyone?

Hi Guys,

I ordered 7 DVD's for the springs guys, Riaan was one of them.
Please be aware it looks like it is region 1 DVD's since 1 of the guys reported he get's a region protection warning and can't play it. I checked it then on one of my old DVD players and presto it is protected.

To order it you need someone with a address in the USA.
I ordered with my credit card and send it as a gift to the USA address.
Get your USA person to send it to you in SA with USPS airmail.

This will be double the shipping...so it landed here in SA for R250 each.

My recommendation, bribe someone for his DVD, if you have a multizone DVD player, or can search the net to unlock your DVD player.

OR

Wait until they release an internation version.

In my opinion it is one of those must have DVD's for an aviator.

Regards
Rudi
