Runway directions

Why is it that runways are given in magnetic North and not True like in the case of wind direction:?: :?
I believe I can fly...even touch the sky

Because we have magnetic compasses and your alignment on your compass is the runway direction.

Weather TAF's and METARS are also in Magnetic. They only go to true headings from above the ground weather.
