The most comman cause of failure on these rubber sockets is over-tigtening of the clamps. The clamps should be tightened until you hvae a gap of approx. 7mm between the clamp ends.

Although your picture is not very clear it appears to me that the clamp is over-tightened.

I have found that these sockets have to be replaced every 150 hours as a precaution.

One of the other reasons for premature failure is vibration caused by carb settings, prop, engine mounting rubbers, etc.

Since I received the trike with enjin as is from SoloWings, and I have not adjusted the clamps, are you saying that either SoloWings or the supplier of the enjin over-tightened these clamps?

Are you the supplier of the Rotax 582 to Solowings?

I would bet on the vibe angle on that particular rubber socket design.
The straight ones are by far the best i have found

New engines are supplied with these rubbers loose, they are fitted at installation of the engine.

If you suspect that there may be a defect in that particular one, please return it to me for investigation.
