Join Mike Blyth and James Pitman as they describe and show how they designed and built an experimental 2 seater aircraft in Johannesburg, and then flew it around the world in 40 days. See the photographs and film as they describe taking off into the night on their first 18 hour flight from Pilanesburg, in an aircraft they barely had time to test. Hear about and experience their epic 22 hour flights across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, getting caught at night in giant thunderstorms, and their triumphant return to South Africa in August this year.
Get to see and hear the adventures of these remarkable South Africans who have shown that we have what it takes to stand with the best worldwide.

Hey there Witwillem, the performance is at 19h30 so you should have time to get through the traffic..
But unfortunately you will need to visit S&D and its traffic...

Re: Mike and James Presentation
Oddball, will Mike & James maybe consider it, to bring their horse-and-pony show out to Pretoria for the guys out here? I am sure someone may come up with a suitable venue ...

Re: Mike and James Presentation
I am sure that the would consider it; I have been arranging the event and been a bit frustrated around getting venues, so if you can find me a decent venue we can arrange something..

Re: Mike and James Presentation
What a great talk -
Most of us followed the trip via mail, tracking, forums etc, but to sit and listen to two guys speak so passionately about a subject that is clearly so close to all of our hearts was a privelage. it was a great presentation - hats off to all involved. Great photo's and few good videos almost displaced the sheer size of the expedition that these two lads undertook. They spoke of a leg where they were waiting for trade winds to help them along or they would have wound up 700 KMS short of there destination over the OCEAN ??? WHAT - FFS I top up to go round the DAM - THESE LADS HAVE BALLS and big ones.... it could have been as easy as they made it our to be so RESPECT !!!
Congrats to all involved from sponsors to pilots. Thanks Jay for arranging the talks - the only thing i have left to say is that if this presentation comes to an area near you - MAKE A POINT of seeing it...
