Intermittent mag/ coil

Hi Guys
Problem on one mag on 582 Rotax running intermittently for 2 seconds then cuts out.
Anybody experienced the same?
What was the cause?
Traced the problem tothe coil behind the flywheel. Anybody know what the resistance should be of a good and a faulty one.
Should the two coilshave the same resistance or are they different due to the rev counter connection?

The 2 coils shoul be the same resistance. Around 231 ohm when they are good.

Had a similiar problem ,but it was one pickup on a dual ignition,cleaned up the earth,end of problem.I was getting different resistance readings too
