Outside Air Temp Probe Installation /

Where would be the best place in a Raven/Zodiac to install the Outside Air Temperature Probe? So as to get the most accurate reading and not a reading influenced by the engine temperature or the exhaust gas temperature?

I haven't done it yet, but I was planning to route mine out with the pitot line, and mount it in the same place as the pitot tube. Under the wing (out of direct sunlight), and well away from the exhaust outlets. I don't know how such a long cable run will affect the sender though.

Yes...it makes sense to put it there....anywhere underneith the fuselage you might pickup heat from the exhaust gas!!

Does anyone know what effect the extended wires would have on the temp reading?
