Lost directional control

Paging through the SA Flyer magazine I read the incident log compiled by Dennis Jankelow & Associates.

It is amazing how many accident happened due to lost of directional control.

Being a trike pilot that converted recently to 3 axis, I would like to know what is the main cause for losing directional control.
What must I know, and what must I be aware of to avoid losing directional control?

I'd say that "overworking" the rudder on the ground. Not being awake to "catch" any rudder input required.. I'd say landing on the centreline and making sure the pedals are straight is the golden rule.

Loss of directional control means the plane goes where you don't want it to go. It's a term used quite loosely to say that the pilot lost control of the steer-ability of the aircraft. Could be tire busting/flat, front wheel breaking off, broken steering linkage etc. Anything that results in you running off the runway

All true and more apparent in cross wind landings! When flying JABS one needs to seriously aware of wing into the wind and small but precise movements with the pedals - once over steering occurs you got much problems recovering!
