medical and stuff

Postby straggler » Thu Sep 24, 2009 12:36 pm

Hi all,

I'm a resident of Uganda and am looking to come to SA to get my weightshift licence. I'm reasonably fit and healthy but want to make sure I don't fail the medical. Is there anywhere online I can find the stuff for eyesight, hearing etc requirements? Can get checked out here beforehand to make sure I'm not blind, deaf or dead.

Can I get my student's licence organised from here? I'll be pushed for time so anything I can do in advance would help. On that note, can anyone recommend somewhere doing intensive courses? I'm a bit short of cash too so somewhere with cheap hotels/camping would be good!

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich

We can give you your licence in three weeks if the weather is good but it can stretch to 4 weeks. We can run a full time course for you. It takes three days to get your student licence so we can sort that out as soon as you arrive. The medical is not very strict for microlights and if you are reasonably healthy you will not fail the medical. You really have to be very unfit and fat to not pass the medical. That can also be done here. We are situated in Hoedspruit in South African near the Kruger National Park, one of the greatest parts of the country. We can arrange accommodation for you - no problem. Please email me on deon@lefssa.com and I will send you all the details.

We look forward to hearing from you.
