Peltor headset repair

Postby cjkrit » Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:54 am

My peltor headset has a problem with the wiring I suppose. The microphone does not work. Is the opening and repair something I should attempt as DIY or rather send for professionals. Don't seem to see how on earth to open this unit- no screws or clips. Any advice ?

Bought these in Cape Town couple years back. I am in the eastern cape. Where can I send to for quick reliable repair work?

Thanx.

You should be able to wedge a knife / screwdriver in between the black plastic of the ear muff and the green shell to separate the two. I would have a look inside to make sure it is not something obvious like a loose connection. Not sure who can repair locally. You might have to send them back to the NAC guys in Spain to repair but that is probably not economically feasible from SA.
