I found this article in the July 2002 Microflight news. Its a noise regulator and anti spike circuitry.

It works like a charm and you dont even need to build it yourself. I have had mine in my plane for more than 2 years now and it has been brilliant.

I used to have all types of engine noises on the radio as well and this has cut these out completely. It even has a light system to give you an indication of whether its functioning or not.

If you phone the provided telephone number the guy will even send the box to you by post. Its a bargain.

Hey there Morpheus,

thanks- I saw this circuit of yours elsewhere as well and printed it out so that I can make the thing. I am using RS Components to buy the stuff and have searched for regulators; jislaaik - the selection is huge...

Do you recall what the number/ designation/ manufacturer etc of the regulators that you have used is so that I can order the same?

Hey Oddball,

They are standard 7812 regulators. The code Mantech Electronics used is 7812T-ST at R1.50 each
