Yeah, I know what you mean; right now the web guy is struggling to get this working; the satellite company in Australia is recieving the signal but we cannot get it to the net- we're working on it as much as we can; apparantly the senior guy at the sat company is now involved as well...

Im sorry to bring this up, but wont they be flying through the same sort of weather, near the place where the Air France A330 was lost. How is the weather holding up for them?

Click on the 4 slide button, there is some weather south of their track moving towards Belem which they may encounter 200nm from dest, I think they will be fine for the last +-6 hours of the flight. The forecast is still a tailwind of 20kts @ 8000ft

huh? where are you getting this from?

If they are then they are running low on fuel and diveting south to the closest point. I calculate they have traveled 2650km. Going south to Fontalesa is another 750km giving them a total of 3400km instead of 4050km. Good option.

If they took off at 7pm last night SA time as expected then they are flying at an average of 95 knots, so they have a 5 knot tail wind. They should only use 414liters, leaving them with 35 liters spare (2 hours flying time) if they continue straight.

I also can't see a change of the course. Looks like they are still going straight.
However, I am wondering if it is true what is displayed in Google Earth - everytime I check the current status I see the message "INVALID GPS FIX". I am wondering where the (regulary changing) ground speed is coming from if the tracker doesn't receive GPS signals!?
The postion seems just to be a interpolation, created be the speed readings and the intended course line....

Doesn'l look like a too good promotion for the Indigo system...

Indigo sat is managing to get speed and altitude data every 30 minutes from the unit but not a position fix. So using that they are plotting the path along the route it appears

Morph is correct; we are only recieving speed and altitude from the tracker, and Indigo is plotting the path based on thier speed and intended route; we don't actually know where they are...

Indigo thinks that sat transmitter is somehow not in the right position and have worked very hard from their side to see what they can do but what we need is to speak to M&J to move the transmitter/ unit. Obviously that's not going to happen until later...

Sorry if it caused confusion Morph. Went online at about 07H45 this morning, zoomed right in from angle just behind and above the plane and saw the red track making a almost 90 deg to the left. Can kick myself for not making a screen shot of what I saw. All stright towards destination now
