Yip, my buddies and me were sitting behind STAND 12/13 eating our breakfast and heard some guys next to us speaking about flying. I didn’t want to interrupt them, ONLY to find out they were "Sky gods" and not microlight pilots, so I left them alone. Racing and the GIRLS were GREAT

Re: Who's going to SBK?
If you see these guys in action, you realise why there is only a handfull of them in the world. These guys are incredible. Personally I'm behind Haga, just because of his perseverance and bad luck the past - is it 70 years.
2009 is going to be Haga's year - but on track, that man Spies is in a class of his own.
When the going gets tough, Spies goes one better - beating Fabrizio in the last lap for superpole with 1/1000 of a second.
1'37.288" to 1'37.289" - that is racing.
Unfortunately seems like he got some of Haga's bad luck with the Yamaha.
Some of the pix I took on Friday and Saturday.

Some more pix for the uninformed.
Some of the SBK clan on Friday's qualifying practice. Haga - no 41 - didn't spend much time in the back of that pack.
That man Haga.
As I am a serious Kawasaki fan, it was a great bonus when local man Sheridan Morias got a ride on the factory Kawasaki. He did brilliantly racing against guys that are longer on the world stage than what he is racing. Good luck for the future.

Re: Who's going to SBK?
The supersport - 600cc - class was as amazing.
These guys exit a corner, doing 200 km/h on the edge of the racetrack, in fact, on the rumble strip, and not by accident, lap after lap. Their margin of error is almost zero.
Current world champion, but not for long.....

Just to keep it aviation related.
The camera chopper for the aerials.
......taking some nice pictures of the pits.
Unfortunately Regis Laconi had to be airlifted to Sunninghill with a broken neck and puntured lung, due to a high speed crash on his first lap Friday.
