Finally, nearly 2 weeks since last flight, weather gave a break this morning.

Did 15 minutes solo check out, 25 minutes solo, then 35 minutes to Umhlanga Light House and back to La Mercy.

Like DH, “I too feel better now”!!

Enjoy Morph, it never does any harm to check these things out. I agree, it was probably just some gunk in the needle and seat.

Have a lekker flight. Here somebody has pissed off the wind God so badly that it has been very windy and miserable for weeks!!!

One thing about living in the Cape, the wind is inevitable. You could take off in perfec weather but generally you will land with strong wind. We fly regularly with 20mph winds

This is also the reason why three axis is in the majority as opposed to trikes

Yup,

I was at the airfield this morning sorting out my carb problem and the wind was a howling strong SE. I wouldn't go up in that. Meantime a student and instructor were doing circuits with a gyro, and the student actually went solo as well. =D*

I would love one, the price is the only problem

Not as far as I was aware. I know that this gyro is hangared there. I don't recognise the instructor tho', Oldish guy with grey hair. Could have come down from JHB or such to do the training. Maybe the guy is doing a conversion on to that type of gyro?

You are obviously training with Junkie Griffin? I call my instructor a lot of things (under my breath) but never Master!

Sounds a lot better with rattling chains and creaking doors in the background.

Actually I am one of Junkies few failures   (Anyone offering remedial flying lessons?? Lessons for students with “special needs”)

Morning all

Had KB here for the day yesterday. Flew down in a R22 to fetch little sister at varsity. Took him flying this morning for an hour or so. Lovely weather for a change. Did the game drive thing although cool with not much to see except the usual bokkies and one hippo and an otter. Cool way to start the day especially on my b/day
Waiting for the wind to stop
