Propeller leading edge protection
Propeller leading edge protection
Does anyone know of a source of metal leading edge protection that can be glued to a carbon fibre prop? At EAA 322 last week the guys talked knowingly - "yes, usually nickel, stainless better, titanium is available...." but the only lead was: "talk to Peter de Necker". I just did, but he only rivets SS.

Ditto... have had 2 props done by Peter and its the best investment you wil make on your prop.
Another excellent form of protection is to fit a belly bag or the netting that the Aussies sell.
I have also put a rubber flap on the back of the front wheel
Also to excercise care when taking off and landing at gravel strips - never gun the motor from a standing start, and kill the motor as soon as its safe & you can to coast to a stop on landing
