Heh - It looks like I may be out of luck?

What does everybody use to prime aluminium? Is there a more modern alternative that bonds and preserves just as well?

We buy at a plascon outlet in Nelspruit, but it is readily available at most automotive paintshops. I have bought from BASF and chemspec before.

Net bietjie duur.

Thanks guys.

Located some Strontium Chromate. The minimum size is quite a bit more than I wanted. Seems one pack (10l) is enough to paint about 2 planes!

Anyway, i will get some, and give it a bash.

Does it need any plasticisers, or anything for aircraft use? I know aluminium does not move as much as fabric, but there is some surface rippling.

Thanks,
Justin

Don't have the price yet. (Too scared to ask.)

Plascon factory says I can order it (AW255+PL2) at any Plascon outlet.
