I have a Pair of 3mm Diving Gloves with leather on the inside of the palm.
Fit nice and snugly and keep my hands nice and warm. But a bit of a pain with small buttons on occasion.

Any one know where I can get hold of a pair of leather airforce officers parade gloves. I had a pair that I used for years but they have finally given up on life. They are thin enough for operating radio knobs and other switches in a semi enclosed cockpit such as a Bantam and Thunderbird.

IRWIN has a general purpose glove produced for use in the construction industry. The palm is reinforced with synthetic suede for comfort and improved wear resistance. Rubberised fingertips enable a better grip on slippery objects.
And:
Carpenters Gloves offer an open finger design for better dexterity. Provides Techno Grip reinforced thumb, palm and fingertips for extra durability and protection. The knuckles are padded with perforated Neoprene. Contains breathable stretch materials add to comfort. One hand-strap adjustment.

In essence the same product except that fingertips(index, middle and thumb) are cut away on gloves for carpenter type. Thus helping with those minute knobbies.

Retail at about R250 last time i checked.

I also have another pair, a bit like the ones kraaines has posted, but they are leather and very thin so you can change freq, adjust the iPod etc. I haven't tried them out on a properly cold morning yet tho, so not sure if they will actually keep the cold out. they are a type of work glove we get from Sweden.

Will test drive them properly and give some feedback 8)

HI Guys

I use the K-Way thinsulate gloves they are nice and warm, only drawback might be that they are quite thick so handling all the knobs and stuff can get a bit "figety" sorry spelling might be wrong.

Take a look at the inner gloves used by cricket players. Good thermal qualities and thin enough to fiddle with knobs.

Try the cheapie gardening/ crayfish white cotton gloves with rubber dots on for about R9.00. Best for summer gloves and thin enough as an inner. Easy to fiddle on the radio with.
