OK, OK,

With a welcome like that it would be a real twirp who didn't see that the next post was now called for.

Thanks, Guys. I am looking forward to the first jol.

I am also seriously considering an offer on a three-axis microlight, so I could soon be a more genuine member of the community.

Would that be the Cheetah you were enquiring about on Avcom?. I'm a total cheetah nut and love them. Did you get the detail you needed from rainbow?.

Just remember a Bantam is CCM - conventional controlled Microlight. So if you have a PPl like Rod and you want to log hours you want to fly LSA. Cheetah falls in LSA. Bantam does not. There is nothing wrong with a bantam - it's just something to consider. There are MANY LSA types around currently.

The reason why the Bantam is not LSA is because it can't really fly, it is just so damn ugly that the earth repels it!

Sorry Dish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok lets be honest, jealousy makes me nasty!

Welcome Mr. Smith....... as known, I'm the shit stirrer around here!

Anyways, many a harsh word (NOT, as Borat would say!) falls here I daresay but it's like when we were kids - you moered your brother or sister, they moered back, sometimes you cried, sometimes you sulked, mostly you wet yourself laughing..... thankfully here we always remain the best of mates!

Looking forward to your input....

Get yourself a Cheetah!

Bantam, Cheetah, Bushbaby, who cares?

They all fly well I trust.

In my case all I am looking for is to be in the air more often by going this route. I intend to keep the Mooney, but I can't really afford to fly it for fun.So three-axis microlight here I come. I notice from RV's post and a few others that I am not the only one who has decided to go this route. I have two partners in this enterprise, both brothers in law. The one used to be my partner in the Seneca, but he allowed his PPL to lapse. Now he'd like to get back into aviation and this looks like the way to go for him too. His only demand is that he wants a plane with doors, so that cuts out the Bantam. The other outlaw flies a trike from Springs. He has recently done his three-axis conversion and wanted a Bantam, but has had to settle for doors. For some reason he is desperaate for a Cheetah. I would have liked a Bushbaby. So the Cheetah would appear to be the way to go if we can get the right one for a realistic price. So with a bit of luck I shall soon be at some of the jols referred to above.

Hell BadNav,

I haven't seen that board since the last time I visited Louis Trichard... And that was in the last milenium 1992 - to 1994'ish.

Was fortunate enough to see a full Squadron Scramble one day - they had every flying Cheetah in the air in a couple of minutes took off four at a time. MAN the thunder and flames - It was marvelous...
