Advise on Illegal flying required

Whilst I agree with all statements regarding legal flying I must state that what David says is also true. The point that he is trying to make is that the recriational flying scene is already totally over regulated, and that the powers that be needs no exscuses to pump out piffle as far as regulations and restrictions are concerned. This will eventually lead to the sport becoming so expensive as to be for an elite few only(if not the case already) So gentlemen do it by the book but be aware that soon the reality will be that it may become totally imposssible to fly legally due to the bearocratic strain and load and hence cost involved. Please look north of our border and ask yourselfes why GA is dead in Africa? Beurocracy and cost! Fight it and dont condone it!

I too agree with Dave's efforts in trying to point out that what this guy is doing is not illegal. In pointing this out he did not say that it was a sensible thing to do but it still is not illegal (provided the aircraft is registered). Anyway, even when something is legal it does not necessarily mean that it is right. Take abortion for example (my personal view anyway).

The point here is that the said culprit's activities are impacting negatively on Coastwise's ability to fly in his hometown area without apprehension for being mistaken by the Airschool to be the culprit. And..... there's the safety issue of flying around in busy airspace amongst traffic that is unable to determine the guy's intentions.

I don't think think the approach of reporting him to CAA will do the microlighting community much good as it only makes them more inclined to tease out more tedious regulations. Maybe a direct approach requesting the guy to be more mindful of the concern he's causing and to rather stick to flying areas that are further from the Airschool.

Skybound you're right on the money - we don't want to be forcefed more restrictions. I'm sure that more than many would agree, the industry is already over-regulated.

So you say when a 14 year old girl is raped she should have the baby any way, will that baby ever be loved or do you just don't give a .... , start thinking about the life of that Child of 14 and that baby that will no be loved (yes maybe 1 in 1000 will get right) but the other 999 will put a gun to your head at the robot next time out of frustration when they are around 15 years old an living on the steet I here you complaining about crime Papillon:?: (my personal view anyway)

last couple of posts amusing, but off topic.

To sum up, please try to get hold of the fella, talk to him, and point out what you feel ( and most of us on this forum) he is doing that is harming the industry.

forget about reporting to CAA. That will just add to our woes.

Dave did not condone illegal flying, he actually reasoned to the opposite in questioning how much we want to regulate it.

If these things are not debated, then yes, I would have had to picture my Windlass trike with a 5kg dry powder fire extinguisher strapped to the kingpost, and a army "trommel" filled with 1st aid goodies tied to the control bar, a brief case filled with law books tied to my propellor, a transponder with battery and back-up battery and UPS, BRS shutes for pax and PIC, oxygen, lifevests etc. Do we want this ?

Go to the man in question and tell him to straghten up, or tell him to stay out of MY CIRCUIT !
