Trike transportation needed

Postby Bayliner » Tue Feb 10, 2009 1:11 pm

Hi All

I have a trike that is located at Microland near Bapsfontein. As I am living in Cape Town I obviously want the trike here. I personally do not want to fly the trike myself because I am not quite finished with the MPL and even if I was I would be pushing my limitations.

I have three options:

1. Get someone to fly it here.
2. Have the trike packed up and transported by someone.
3. Drive up from CTN and trailor it down.

Any advice would be appreciated and/or maybe somebody on the forum can help me (of course I will pay). The sooner I can get it here the better as I would like to do my last few solo hours on it.

Thanks to you all.

Your safest option is 3) although it might not be the cheapest. If you want something done right - do it yourself.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Yes it looks like I will have to fetch it myself. Anybody got a trike trailer in Cape Town that I can beg, borrow or rent/hire?

I dont know yet. I train out of Wintervogel but like Morningstar due its proximity to where I stay (Table View) and to the coast. I get my thrill mainly doing coast flying.

Come to Morning Star on Saturday mornings. I'm sure we can make a plan regarding a trailer.

There we go Glenn. I knew the guys would help, and you may even find a nice hangar space for DizZY too.

Thanks Andre. What strikes me most about these guys on the forum is there unconditional willingness to assist or help where possible. This surely must be a sport where the players have integrity and a good code of conduct.

To all that responded and read this post I say thank you and hopefully I will get the opportunity to meet some of you guys sometime.
