Hi there.
I am thinking of buying a Streak Shadow.
It has a Rotax 582 in it. I have heard that certain "year models" or so have some problem with tha crank shaft or something that results in bas reliability.
How does one tell if the engine your plane has in is a good one or a bad one?

Why, what's wrong with a Mod 90 Silvertop other than it may have high hours on it?Morph wrote: You should be looking at the Blue Top (i.e. the actual head is blue in colour)
In my opinion, it's absolutely rubbish that certain models have problems with the crankshaft. The Mod 90 and Mod 99 have exactly the same cranks, casings, bearings, seals, conrods, etc.redbaron wrote:I have heard that certain "year models" or so have some problem with tha crank shaft or something that results in bas reliability.
Airspeed, altitude, or brains....you always need at least two
