I practised techniques on Sat that I would
never have tried on my own...

(I am of course reffering to that manoever!

)
Conditions were def not nice...(as I'm sure you correctly noted from the ground!)....15knt CW on 03, not many big thermals but pretty turbulent. Understanding how to get the most out your aircraft without exceeding the limits is vitally important in an emergency. Yes the landings were not good

but that will come....this session was more about flying speed and learning how to handle the conditions.
We also spent a bit of time on Situational Awareness....everyone took off on 09 on Sat. I was about to when the destructor said "Wait...look, tell me what you see?"

I'll share his thinking with you in person, too complex to elaborate here.
I need to anticipate my reactions better...I am not aggressive enough on the bar during the final landing phase! Thus the results you saw

I think we should all be doing these type of "extra lessons"...amazing how much better I feel about things after just one lesson. I am the first one to admit that I was not trained at the best school. Although I consider myself to be a competent and safe pilot,(they dont call me bangat bundy for nothing

)..there are quite a few bad habits that have crept in, so nice to get a new view on things from a very good instructor!
After the last "landing" and slowing down for a fullstop...
"Jirre boet...Kan ek my oe weer oopmaak?"
