C182 overdue.
A C182 from FAUP to Stellenbosch is overdue. Left FAUP about 13h00 yesterday, and nothing has been heard since. Hope all will be found OK today.

It was found yesterday. They did a forced LOB in the sticks somewhere. All OK.
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Besides landmarks like the Augrabies, is there much or any detail to identify that barren area on a map?

One of the easier areas to nav. Look at a topo map. Plenty of features to nav on, lots of mountains and few roads. Roads are easily identified, because there are only a few, and provide excellent line features. Flew plenty charters in C210's from Windhoek to Calvinia, Springbok, Aggenys etc. Even once had to pick up fuel in LoeriesfonteinTumbleweed wrote:Besides landmarks like the Augrabies, is there much or any detail to identify that barren area on a map?
