Happenings at Petit

Postby Stephan van Tonder » Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:18 pm

This has been exciting year for Petit airfield so far. First The petit social flyers were revived - Then we had our test breakfast fly-in which worked quite well with planning for a lot more of those. 20 more hangars are about to be constructed and then this morning Hugo arrived with his latest toy to come show it off. Just some pictures of all the happenings so far.
Keep watching this space and this little airfield.
BTW. If you need aircraft moved the truck in the pictures is for hire from Hugo - it has a crane so easy to load onto the loadbed.

WOW what a day. Started with PURRRRFECT weather - we had a HUGE amount of visitors today and I got almost no pics of the really nice stuff as I got too busy to take pictures - but we had a whole gaggle of professional photographers there maybe they will treat us to a few.
These are just about a tenth of the planes today - but there were from Lancair to c208 grand caravan to choppers to microlights to - ag name it - if it flew it was there today :-)

How does a perfect day start out...

It really was good to see such a lot of activity at the field this morning. A few of us had a spot landing competition, quite clearly more practice is needed
