Prop confusion.
Prop confusion.
To minimize confusion when asking for a prop, or tying to sell one: ALLWAYS think of the prop as if looking at it in the direction of travel. IE, from the rear, as if the cockpit IS there..... jaaaa kooos,... even in a pusher configuration. SO: A Rotax 503/ 582 in a TRIKE will take a RHT (Right Hand Tractor, Koos) BUT in a Koala or a Bushbaby it will use a LHT. ......that is UNLESS it has a belt-drive system, then the opposite is of relevance. With fixed blade props, state the daiameter and pitch, normally indicated in inches, ie. 72X52,of the prop you want or want to sell, otherwise either confusion or "slow smile" will result.
