Bad instructors speak badly about machines they cannot fly.

Hi Guys,
Have just spoken to Ansa Mocke and less than 10 people have entered - minimum of 30 required for event to proceed. She will decide by the weekend (8 March) whether to proceed or cancel. It would be such a pity if the 20th Bundubash is cancelled due to lack of interest.

Regards

I dont think enough has been done to market this event besides a referral to a web link.

This has to rank amongst the best advernture fly-ins of all.

Is there an alternative to accomodate guys wanting to fly down with fuel/ overnight between departure and Upington? Can anyone join the first and last night to use as a base along a route?

CAn plane/ gyro agents bring demo's to exibit and test fly? Could girlfriends/ trainee or wannabe pilots follow in suitable 4 * 4's and would this create an interest amongst 4 by 4 / camping okes? Again, offer demos to exhibit.

What about getting those paramotors okes floating over those dunes? Awesome, I'd be first in line for a flip and guaranteed, they will sell a kit or 2.

Then those psyco's who ski down the dunes- there's always one of them. Can't someone build one of those sand /yaght / dune buggies powered by a 1000 hour 503 Rotex?

And then offer that and more to an adventure or lifestyle brand. Might even make a profit :?

Seriously, Besides all that, if the weather's vrot, will the organisers re-schedule? Quite a commitment if it turn sour.

Good luck

I scoured the site but didn't see the part about price$$$
Did I miss it?
I would love to attend, it would be a pity if it was canceled due to lack of numbers.
I agree, marketing and economic downturn may have played a part.

Also had to look twice, but if you click the "Registration Form 2009" link, it shows the price. R5000-00. (^^)

From Groblersdal two trikes already registered and two Skyrangers and a Cheetah and Gyro is also in process.
Get the guys at your airfield together and start planning for this event.

I would dearly love to go as well but the R5k by 28 feb was also my problem. Then I have the same question - can the wife follow into the overnight places in a landcruiser?.
Is this price per person or per aircraft? and what about if the wife drives in with a car- also R5k?.

Oh - you had to open the registration form to get the cost detail - it also took me ages the first time.

And then this;

"PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Toiletries

Warm sleeping bags with enough blankets and pillow

Tent & camping chair & drinking glasses

Enough warm clothes

Bring own hard-tak (drinks)"

Have experienced winter in desert, so understand the antifreeze- (mauw) but on a trike- to add this to the fire extinguishers/ Ist Aid e.t.c ?? (Some okes gonna have to sleep a Ventertjie)

The ou manne say shaving and fresh clothing is for sissies- just keep the flight suit on for the week  but can't they also offer tents/ bed- no linen ?

Me and a sleeping bag/ hiking tent is like a python mating ritual, just shorter and no climax. :)

Sorry, I could inquire directly, but others would possibly also like to know (and not all skelms like to pomp in a hiking tent)

Then just kip on a mattress (One of those blue roll up ones) and a sleeping bag and pillow! That is the REAL Bundubash experiance!
My dad went on it with his mate (Rae Henderson - Morningstar) and Rae got annoyed with my dad's snoring and chucked him out! He woke up the next morning with ice on the back of his sleeping bag... but still slept outside! He's a tough one! Oh, and Rae and my dad did a naked flypast in the trike after winning the flourbag drop! vhpy
