Aquilla vs GT450

Postby powerfly » Mon Jul 28, 2008 8:58 pm

A race between the Solowings aquilla(Noel McDonogh) and the GT450 (Grant Rubenheimer) at Battlefields resulted in the Aquilla winning over all. The Aquilla was full bar in and doing 86mph and the GT 85mph. See the shot to show the winnings. Hey Barry, shot for the spin in your baby. Felt like a wet dream! Shot Grant.

WOW ! VERY interesting ! Not what I would have expected ? Surely the GT450 is faster than that ?

Fly safe,

Aquilla vs GT450

Postby John Young » Tue Jul 29, 2008 9:38 am

Hi,

For a fraction of the cost, these new generation Aquilla’s have a straight and level cruise speed that the GT450 Quik owners can only dream about.

It’s pointless trying to keep up with them ‘coz our 4-strokes just burn too much fuel. :( :(

Rather leave us GT450 Quik okes alone to do our thing around the cabbage patch whilst these new generation Aquilla’s attack true long-haul cruising.

Hi,

Have been told that these new generation Aquilla’s, (known as GT-Eaters) fly smooth as silk at their various flight levels whilst us poor GT450 okes bumble along in turbulence eating everyone else’s prop wash.
