GOOD NEWS - 582 ATF received

Postby DieselFan » Fri Feb 29, 2008 1:22 pm

Hey Guys

Mervyn & Co have managed to get a 582 through with over 300 hours. It appears CAA are easing up. He says the letigation will continue though, although he is happy thusfar.

He asked me to post this and spread the news!

Cheers 8)

More details please...
Was the crank changed....?
Was it opened and inspected.....and closed uo again by and AP or other....? etc....

I have 3 Aircraft coming up for renewal and whether the pilots continue to fly them, give them away or whatever depends on the outcome

Thanks

Head opened, coaxle and radial tolerances checked closed up.

NO crank replaced. Think all you need is a new gasket

Spares about R200.

Excellent but what is the exact position with CAA, what do they require? is there an upper limit, i.e. 450 hours before compulsory replacement or is it based on inpection only?
