Not a lot of people go into the misasa section of this site so I thought it important to repeat here in Hangar Talk:

We have just launched the New Misasa Website. This new website seeks to be as good as you, the membership, make it. Our stakeholders include individual members, clubs, flight schools, suppliers, service providers, governance bodies etc. and we all stand to benefit from this website by initiating conversations on our past, present and future.
It is a very interactive website, basically a news web log of things happening in our industry.
It is easy to update with new content, so it is much better than our old web site and may I even say even better than any other SA aviation club
MISASA is staffed by volunteers and if you feel that you can play a role please let us know. Your contribution added to that of others will ensure that we add great benefit to you.
Currently to take part in the interactive fun portions you need Register on the website and belong to Misasa or Aeroclub. That said browsing is open to everyone currently.
The website is not 100% done and we are still building it out, but it is good enough to launch with. It uses a lot of new functionality so Internet Explorer 7 and a minimum resolution of 1024x768 is required for it to display correctly
Misasa is now also the governing body for light sport aircraft now, so you can use any of the following links to get to our new website
www.misasa.co.za
www.lightsportplane.co.za
www.sportplane.co.za
Here are some of the features I want to make you aware of:
There are menus along the top like Home, Newsletter (still to be added), Events, Gallery and Shop.
Along the left there is the static info you will need to know about Misasa, like Who is, Join, Committee, and a couple of forms etc.
The Random Picture shows the best pictures from the old magazine, click on it to expand the small random photo.
Please use the links, to go directly to differently categories. Each article is categorised, and filled automatically. We can run polls, download the calendar of the month, and even show you some upcoming events. Remember to use the Search function, it is very powerful and searches all the submitted articles.

If you want to read the website as a magazine, the order in which the articles was submitted the use the “Previous Entries†and “Next Entries†buttons on the bottom of the website. It is like paging through a magazine, and I like that feature.

Be sure to check out the gallery. The January Gallery contains some of the best Microlight photos submitted by the readers in the past. In future we might like to grow this section so that you can submit your best pictures each month.
Lastly I want to extend a big Thank you to Sias Dreyer who provided countless man-hours to build the backend of the website and editing content and Alan Mackenzie for providing much of the current content.
I hope you find the new website interesting and will help to build it out and keep it current.
Kind Regards
Rudi
PS: Thanks to Demon for Squating here for a while, we will post all our new news over on the new site.
