GARMIN GPS III PLUS

Postby Mc Guyver » Wed Nov 07, 2007 12:38 am

I have an old GPSIII which I am now using in OZ. The internal baatery is now showing low. Is it possible to replace the internal battery personally or must it be done by the agent :?:

It is soldered on to the circuit board. If you are handy with a soldering iron (and solder wick/solder sucker) it is not a problem. The unit is easy to open but I think you may have to desolder the co-ax cable to the BNC connector to open it up fully. A bigger problem may be getting a replacement lithium battery. I got mine from a collegue
